WHAT IS THE MOST WANTED CAMPAIGN?
The Most Wanted program gives men and women a leadership role in the fight against cancer. Working alongside our Coaches Vs Cancer, University of Illinois men’s head basketball coach Brad Underwood and the American Cancer Society’s Regional Board, Most Wanted gives leaders an opportunity to spearhead fundraising for the American Cancer Society’s initiatives in a fun, competitive atmosphere.So, by the end of this campaign you will have helped the American Cancer Society accomplish two major task in the fight against cancer; spread awareness about cancer and the mission of the American Cancer Society and raised funds to fuel our mission so we can elimiate cancer as we know it today.
Cancer effects everyone; mothers, fathers, wives, husbands, children, aunt, uncles, friends and more. Nearly two million people a year hear the words “You Have Cancer.” As a leader in the Champaign County community, you can help us continue to lower this number until we get to zero. This distinguished group of community leaders raises awareness and money to support the American Cancer Society’s initiatives-and to help us save more lives than ever before. By joining forces with the American Cancer Society and Colors of Cancer, you will be partner with the nations largest not for profit funder of cancer research. Since 1946, we have invested in over $4.8 billion dollars, funded 47 Nobel Lariets and played a role in most of the cancer breakthroughs in recent history.
